Role Purpose

Contribute to:

  • The implementation and operation quality of all-electric and autonomous mobility services within the piloting projects.
  • All measures and activities during and after development necessary to define the quality of the services (e.g. KPIs), to achieve the defined quality (e.g. test strategy), and prepare the applications and systems for customer services (e.g. enabling diagnosis & support structures).
  • Gather insights regarding the performance and scalability of the services in consideration of the urban and regional plan of NEOM.
  • All involved components of the services including, but not limited to vehicles, backends, mobile-frontends, web-frontends, infrastructure, support frontends.
  • All target markets inside as well as outside of NEOM and all market-specific variants.
  • All phases of the lifecycle of the services.

Responsibilities

Lead on:

  • Negotiation of acceptance criteria with release partners and responsibility for the agreement of acceptance criteria within the release cycle.
  • Guarantee the development of high-quality services in all pilot projects as well as in all relevant markets in all relevant variants in all phases of the service lifecycle.
  • Development of constructive and analytical quality assurance measures to ensure the defined quality of services.
  • Development of overall test/verification and validation strategy for all involved components overall involved test instances (test hierarchy) to address all quality requirements.
  • Creation of test specifications for cross-component test cases.
  • Monitoring the progress of verification & validation and the corresponding service quality according to the defined time plan.
  • Coordination of verification and validation activities between all involved parties to adhere to the defined quality goals.
  • Development and agreement upon the availability of verification and validation platforms and resources with all involved interface partners.
  • Data, technology, and service analysis with the objective to gather insights that support the implementation of NEOM’s urban and regional plan.
  • Concept development for market adaptations (if necessary) and specification of necessary adaptions within the services and introduction of the specification into the NEOM scale-up development activities.
  • Development of diagnosis and support concepts, derivation of necessary specifications, and introduction of them into the whole NEOM environment.
  • Implementation and operation of integrated electric and autonomous mobility services that span across
    • Renewable energy generation, storage, and charging
    • Electric mobility fleet management
    • Urban autonomous and shared mobility services
    • Neighborhood, active, and micro-mobility services
    • Freight and urban goods solutions
    • Water mobility
  • Operation of applications and services that enable advanced configurations for operations design, planning, and service for all modes.

Background, Skills

  • Mobility background with demonstrated capabilities in building electric or autonomous mobility systems or services from a data-driven perspective.
  • Experience in defining the required overall (incl. vehicle, app, backend) quality of the services (KPIs) including the quality of provided content or exchanged data.
  • Track record regarding the achievement of defined service qualities, test strategies as well as related diagnosis and support structures.
  • Professional experience and competencies are required in data capturing, data storage, data analysis, and insights gathering with the objective to support the decision-making process of the upper management.
  • Professional experience in supervising service suppliers, problem management, and monitoring of measures to fix defects and achieve approvals.
  • Proven capability to manage the negotiation and prioritization of defects within the shift- and tolerate-process with release-related partners.
  • Experience to define the overall release approval processes of all involved parties and integration processes including timelines and delivery milestones of all involved development as well as operating parties.
  • Ability to keep a user-centric view of the system but is driven by data needs and requirements.
  • Professional experience in lifecycle development and management of mobility services.
  • Experience in working across technology and software-related projects in collaboration with different service providers or operators.

Qualifications

  • Graduate/postgraduate degree in electrical or mechanical or computer engineering with a focus on intelligent transportation or advanced driver assistance systems on the way to electric mobility or autonomous driving or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 8+ years of work experience at an appropriate level.
  • Expertise in supervising service suppliers, problem management, and monitoring of measures to fix defects and achieve approvals.
  • Experience in defining the overall release approval processes of all involved parties and integration processes including timelines and delivery milestones of all involved development as well as operating parties.
  • Experience in working across multi-disciplinary teams and organizational units in developing and implementing projects in complex environments.
  • Self-starting and self-motivating with an ability to deliver to project deadlines and requirements.
  • Articulate with an ability to interact with a diverse set of professional disciplines, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Professional presentation and negotiation skills and the ability to communicate complex solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.
