Develop and manage safety guidelines, policies and procedures of Hydrogen and Green Fuels assets, monitor contractors on matter related to HSE to ensure their compliance

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

HSE

•             Identify common safety, health hazards inherent in the assets operations and establish guidelines for protection from those hazards and ensure safety

•             Develop and enforce health and safety for contracts in terms of policies, processes, procedures, and controls to ensure full alignment with the international health and safety standards

•             Provide advice and guidance to the team across Asset Operation department regarding health and safety policies and standards to ensure awareness of latest developments, laws, standards, regulations, etc

•             Manage accident analysis, safety testing, hazardous materials identification/management as well as site environmental assessment and testing

•             Conducts periodic inspections and compliance audits for health & safety of assets, ensure that corrective actions were taken against all reported health and safety violations and recommend actions on mitigation controls

•             Continuously identify and track assets risks, defining mitigation and contingency plans, assigning appropriate resources, and constantly communicating status to minimize impact

Contracts Management

•             Develop safety documentation routine and ensure its compliance with laws and regulations

•             Review and advise on necessary changes to the health and safety documentation related to assets including procedures checklists and standard operating procedures and ensure that necessary management controls are in place and meet the required criteria

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineer or related fields
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Health / Safety Engineering
  • Strong background of health, safety, and environment (HSE)
  • Strong understanding of chemical industry
  • Comprehension and practical application of risk assessments
  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
  • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills, as well as excellent managerial skills, including planning, organizing, and directing work in a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across the organization
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability
