Airport Design & Construction Specialist

Work with the Design and Project Management Lead to implement the sector strategy into ongoing and future projects. Ensure the project management of specific work streams with consultants, master planners, and contractors is managed according to NEOM standards by managing cost, program, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Airports Design and Project Management Lead to develop and implement the sector strategy into projects to achieve the strategy
  • Represent the sector at external meetings with consultants, master planners, and contractors
  • Represent the sector at internal and external meetings and to other areas of the business
  • Work with the Urban Development, Projects, and other sectors to implement Air Mobility Projects
  • Participate in project planning sessions, developing project plans aligned with the sector strategy
  • Managing project programs, reporting progress, and adapting work as required to meet deadlines
  • Ensuring project budgets are established, periodically monitored, and adjusted as required
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing documents, ensuring documents are managed and filed in an organized manner as per NEOM standards and guidelines
  • Ensure consultants, master planners, and contractors are working in line with the contract scope, implementing quality management procedures, making sure deliverables address all NEOM Air Mobility requirements
  • Developing risk mitigation plans, implementing and monitoring project risks
  • Developing periodic project status reports, project review reports, and other reports for the sector leaders and other key stakeholders
  • Assisting in managing diverse teams of consultants, master planners, and contractors
  • Initiating new projects, managing procurement process, and liaising with the finance team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or Similar
  • Master’s degree in one of the above fields or an MBA a plus (attending/completed)
  • Industry specialized certifications such as PMP, RICS, etc. a plus
  • Experience in Primavera P6 or MS Projects a plus
  • Experience with Aconex platform a plus
  • Fluent in English, Arabic a plus

Experience

  • 3-5+ years of proven experience in design project management
  • Experience in airport design a plus
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to provide input into strategy, problem-solving, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Teamwork skills as well as self-motivation with experience managing tasks, curiosity to ask questions, and work within a group

  • Excellent communicator (verbal and written) and a good command of English and ability to present confidently to small and large groups
