The Manager for Business Development is responsible for the targeted Business Development Opportunities in hydrogen and green fuels focused on NEOM as a first step. The position is to assist each of the sectors in identifying, negotiating, and implementing leading-edge technologies in hydrogen and derivative applications. Assistance with contract negotiation, partnership management, and Technology implementation, with a focus on the Hydrogen Innovation and Development Centre.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Research, and identify new hydrogen business opportunities, growth areas, and trends within NEOM
- Identification of key partnerships for Hydrogen and Green Fuels development within NEOM
- Implementation of new Technology into NEOM
- Help to deliver high quality, innovative project solutions that provide real value to NEOM
- Collaborate with Senior Business Development Managers to achieve business unit targets
- Guide the collection and evaluation of hydrogen-related business intelligence and manage its reporting
- Play a real part in the NEOM strategic planning and direction around new technologies
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for new business and team growth with the support of Business leaders.
- Create business cases and determine the value of financial decisions
- Contribute to discussions and decision-making about the business future
- Assist in the Acquisition opportunities
- Assist in the Investment opportunities
- Assist in the Partnership and Ventures opportunities
- Work with Consultants and Industry Partners to identify Leading Edge Technology companies in the hydrogen space.
- Assist with Finance, Legal and Business Partners to affect the acquisition of identified Companies
- Assist to develop Partnerships and work with Support functions to implement contracts
- Assist Business Partners to implement technology into NEOM strategy
- Collaboration between all departments in Energy, and overall NEOM
- Collaboration between Business Development areas
- Analysis and Due Diligence of Key Acquisitions targets
- Working with Support functions to secure the Business Growth
- Encouraging other employees and NEOM stakeholders to take an active part in the energy transition
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- MBA seen as favorable
- Hydrogen related or general experience in the Chemical Industry
- Previous experience in Business development
- Strong interest in renewable energies, and energy carriers
- Strong commercial acumen
- Proven experience in commercial contract management
- Experience in a dynamic organization, managing multiple projects
- Ability to persuade and influence people at all levels
- Innovative approach, eager to challenge the status quo
- Ability to focus on short- and long-term strategic objectives
