Director – Construction Logistics for NEOM

Job Description

  • The Logistics Director is responsible for all aspects of logistics management, NEOM project-wide, including supply chain, materials sourcing and handling strategy / implementation, traffic planning and management, pioneering and establishment of remote site work locations and optimization of site logistics solutions to meet the needs of the project.
  • The Logistics Director will plan and oversee pre-shipment of incoming goods and equipment via shipping, airfreight and land transport, movement of people, goods and equipment at the construction site and control site facilities management.
    Liaise with contractor’s logistics managers
  • Manage in NEOM material and equipment logistics, storage, protection and overall inventory control.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years in major Construction Project Logistics Leadership roles
  • Preferred experience – 1 mega project (in excess of USD10 Bn) as Logistics Leader
  • Over 18 years total experience
  • A track record of delivery within a logistics / construction management function. that has led to performance improvement
  • Personal commitment to promoting a sustainable approach to logistic procurement and supply chain development.
  • Excellent communication skills that build empathy and support, engage with individuals at all levels, influence, promote.
  • Capacity to deal with complex logistics issues, and to implement logistics and supply chain vision, strategy and priorities. A driver of performance improvement.
  • IT skills (e.g. Powerpoint, Visio, Word, Excel)
  • Can build consensus, work in a matrix structure, deliver performance and outcomes, and drive the professional and personal development of team member’s knowledge of hoists and cranes, and create and agree booking system to manage their capacity
