Investor Attraction Lead – Tech & Digital

The “Lead, International Manufacturing Investor Attraction – Tech & Digital” will be part of the investor attraction team, reporting to the Manager of the Tech & Digital (T&D) manufacturing cluster. The Lead will be given the responsibility to lead deals from identification/qualification through to the signing of legally binding documents with a focus on OXAGON’s T&D manufacturing cluster. Furthermore, the Lead will support the overall establishment of the T&D manufacturing ecosystem and ensure that OXAGON is considered the best place to do business for Tech manufacturing companies.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Investor Attraction Program Development

  • Support the establishment and development of the Manufacturing Investor Attraction program with a focus on the T&D manufacturing cluster:
  1. Establishing the Manufacturing Investor Attraction program
  2. Developing/implementing key enablers to succeed with the establishment of the cluster
  3. Managing reactive / walk-in attraction
  4. Establishing the collaboration between Sectors, primarily the NEOM T&D sector
  • Identify target tenants and develop customized value propositions and conduct pitches
  • Conduct deep dive on the specifics of the industry to understand industry dynamics, drivers of localization, and market opportunities in NEOM and GCC
  • Lead/support strategic T&D manufacturing investment attraction projects, ensuring OXAGON is strategically positioned to be able to attract e.g., semiconductor ecosystem
  • Collaborate with leaders of Investor Attraction of other clusters/industries
  • Attend international conferences and build relationships across international networks and business communities to identify, engage with and attract potential tenants

Support the running of the Investor Attraction as a Continual Process

  • Ensure complete partner focus and quality of interactions, representing NEOM in the best way
  • Support initial discussions through to the next step of structured negotiations
  • Continuously improve the value proposition and pitch abilities to align with the needs of tenants and NEOM

Structured Negotiations and Legally Binding Agreements

  • Map out the business opportunities and competitive advantage for tenants in the Tech & Digital industry, with a focus on the prioritized manufacturing sub-clusters: Industrial, service & general-purpose robots, 5G+ infrastructure equipment, industrial IoT devices, space systems, 3D printing equipment, electronic components & micro-machines and personal electronics
  • Support in negotiations, as necessary, to anchor LoI’s, MoU’s, or draft contractual agreements
  • Support the development of full business proposals facilitating the process for both parties
  • Support tenants in the development of both legal and non-legal details
  • Support the transition of MoUs / LoI’s to legally binding agreements and contracts

Handover to Investor Care Center and/or Industrialization

  • In the final stages of the partner attraction process, ensure a good handover to the Investor Care Center team and, where appropriate, NEOM Advanced Manufacturing & innovation team to support the plant build and operationalization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/ preferably a master’s from an accredited university in Business or Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or related disciplines
  • A Master’s in Business Administration is an added advantage
  • Proven experience in business development and sales management within the Tech & Digital industry
  • Passionate about T&D and with a solid understanding of the associated value chains and industry players
  • Strong negotiation capabilities and experience in managing external relationships and complex deals/projects
  • Strong team player
  • Good interpersonal skills and Senior Management Experience in Industry to enable engagement with Senior Executives to develop business opportunities through MoU’s and legally binding agreements in conjunction with the Executive Management
  • Good business acumen, financial & economic analysis/development, abstract problem solving, and logical reasoning. Preferred experience from strategic or business consulting
  • Strong presentation skills, presentation preparation, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
