NEOM Energy is seeking to recruit an experienced Lead Electrical Design Engineer (Buildings Services). The Lead Electrical Engineer will undertake and deliver high-quality detailed engineering design for electrical Infrastructure and building services and power distribution systems, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, and specifications.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Lead projects from concept stage to completion
- Liaise with clients, architects, and project managers
- The Electrical Engineer shall be responsible for all Electrical Services including but not limited to the following:
- Lighting Design (Internal and External)
- Power Design
- Fire Alarm Design
- Emergency Lighting Design
- Telecom and IT Design
- Low Current and Security Systems Design (Access Control, CCTV, Public Address, PA/BGM, MATV, Nurse Call System, etc)
- Radio and TV Installations
- Security System Installations
- Earthing and Lightning Protection Design
- Floodlighting Installations
- Design building management system
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, design teams, authorities, utilities, and associated organizations.
- Carry out design verification activities to ensure compliance with company and project requirements, codes, and standards.
- Attend all meetings with clients, project teams, consultants, contractors, etc.
- Review and management of the project from inception to post-construction duties
- Good Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, regulations, guides, and good practices.
- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers for project planning & strategies.
- Lead project and design activities related to load forecast, power supply arrangements, and distribution infrastructure.
- Work closely with the team of engineers at NEOM and other industries, particularly, to review Buildings & other LV Infrastructure projects
- Review company’s design documents, standards, and material specifications.
- Provide coaching to peers and younger engineers.
- Follow up with Local Authorities to get approvals and discuss Authorities’ comments.
- Actively engage with other stakeholders in NEOM to maintain Company’s vision to achieve a 100% RES-powered network.
- Actively engage with SEC, if required for power supply requirements.
Education & Experience
- BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum Fifteen Years of progressive experience in Electrical Design Job; preferably with MEP consultant.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Design of Building Services
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in substation design ranging from LV and MV levels
- Good understanding and knowledge of Protection and Control, SCADA, Telecommunication, Tele-protection system
- Good understanding of MV and LV Equipment design calculations
- Good understanding of substation related design verification studies such as load flow, short circuit, and insulation coordination studies
- Ability to work independently
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills,
- Good Planning Skills
- Very Good Knowledge of Local and International Standards.
- Good knowledge of Mechanical Systems Design.
- Good command of AutoCAD and design software.
