The Planning & Inventory Manager is a key role within the Contract Logistics & Warehousing team, responsible for the planning and inventory management function across all SC&L warehouse facilities.  The individual will develop and deploy material logistics plans and strategies to ensure inventory accuracy and the most effective utilization of available capacity within the network facilities, ensuring material availability and enabling compliant and high-performing operational delivery across the operations and value-added services.

Further, and working in collaboration with the WMS Product Owner, the Planning & Inventory Manager will ensure that the WMS is optimally and thoroughly configured and tested and that all team members are fully trained on the WMS.

Responsibilities

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Follow and actively promote HSE compliance to deliver safe operational performance

ORGANIZATION

  • Manage team and individuals, following and applying appropriate HR procedures including appropriate recognition and performance management
  • Identify team and individual training requirements
  • Onboard new hires with proper induction and training programs
  • Manage team to ensure safety, delivery, performance, and business objectives, and compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and laws
  • Perform team briefings
  • Counseling to employees as per requirement

PLANNING & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Development and deployment of material logistics planning & storage plans and strategies to ensure
    • Compliance with standard operating procedures; NEOM; local customs, government, and any other applicable laws, standards, and regulations
    • All hazardous goods are managed in a compliant and appropriate manner
    • Optimal use of capacity
    • Resource and equipment planning and distribution
    • An efficient operational process takes times
    • Value-add service delivery
    • Facility plan objectives are achieved and delivery of operational service delivery and customer requirements
  • Be the central WMS superuser, working with the WMS Product Owner to develop and develop user training and UAT programs
  • Monitor warehousing inventory and maintain records of all physical transactions, with appropriate and applicable documentation and system updates processed and completed accurately and in line with required timings
  • Development, management, and timely delivery of all planning and inventory Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports as required
  • In collaboration with the operations management team(s), provide forecast data and information to facilitate effective resource distribution and planning
  • Support and coordinate with Operations Manager(s) and Quality & Business Performance Manager, the assessment of existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to enable efficient and effective operational planning and inventory management
  • Resolution of planning and inventory issues, where required in cooperation and collaboration with peers, colleagues, and key stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain professional engagement and communications with peers, colleagues, and key stakeholders
  • Support ongoing development and fulfillment of both Quality Management and Health & Safety Management Systems
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain or related subject / and/or relevant industry experience advantageous
  • 10 years of experience within busy warehousing/logistics operation, with Planning & Inventory Management experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of WMS, preferably Blue Yonder
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and safety orientated
  • Strong understanding and experience of operational processes and able to develop planning and inventory management strategies
  • Good organizational skills

  • Able to manage stressful situations whilst making decisions
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Fluent English language skills required
  • Strong hands-on mentality
