The Social Media Manager plays a collaborative role between the marketing and communications department within the Social Media division, this role is responsible for the overall social media management for NEOM including but not limited to content development and management, ideation, community management, and moderation, social media monitoring/listening, and influencer outreach.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Strategic

  • Oversee all social media platforms from ideation to content creation, implementation, management, and reporting.
  • Work with Social & Performance HOD on the implementation of the social media strategy
  • Develop a compelling multi-channel and in-depth content strategy designed to accomplish larger business objectives
  • Develop quarterly content road maps based on pre-approved content themes and pillars
  • Lead on all reputational management aspects of social media; monitoring & listening moderation, and community management.

Operational

  • Develop quarterly content road maps based on pre-approved content themes and pillars
  • Conceive, create and execute innovative social media marketing campaigns to deliver brand affinity and increased consumer engagement.
  • Develop, plan and execute quarterly hub social media series to grow fan base across all channels and increase engagement levels.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the appointed social media agency and manage day-to-day communications and deliverables
  • Work with internal stakeholders across the organization to support and amplify key messages on each channel
  • Work closely with the marketing campaigns team to manage content dissemination for different social media networks
  • Work closely with Sector Marketing and Partnerships teams to develop a joint social media campaign for NEOM and its partners.
  • Ability to re-purpose social media content for different social media platforms based on a deep understanding of how content is consumed differently on each channel
  • Ideation on quick wins and reactive/agile content creation
  • Define processes for moderation, monitoring, and community management
  • Define processes for content management and approval between various internal departments
  • Develop and manage relationships with 3rd party vendors related to social media
  • Identify emerging social media platforms
  • Ability to identify social media micro-influencers and work on Influencer Outreach Programmes

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 7-8 years of concentrated experience with social media channels and deep understanding of digital marketing; proven ability to significantly drive engagement and conversion.
  • Deep understanding of the Saudi social media scene, culture, and trends but also experience with working on global social media campaigns for international markets
  • Strong understanding of social media measurement and insights as well as overall digital analytics
  • Proven experience working on influencer marketing campaigns
  • Social Media experience within Tourism, FMCG, Retail/Property, or hospitality industry.
  • A proven track record in agency management and internal stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Creative thinker who can be both innovative and execution-oriented
  • Able to work in an ambiguous, ‘internet-speed’ environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to influence management
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent team player and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Degree, Marketing / Digital Marketing, Communications or Media
  • Relevant industry qualifications
