King Salman briefed on the Red Sea project

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al Yamama Palace in Riyadh in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Prime Minister. John Paganu, CEO of Red Sea Development.

During the reception, he gave a visual presentation of the overall project outline and its economic and development goals to become a global destination in the luxury tourism sector.

The first phase of the project will open in 2022 and will include the construction of 3000 full-service hotel rooms, as well as a private airport, yacht berths and residential and leisure buildings.

When the project is completed at all stages, it will provide 70,000 jobs, develop 22 islands, attract 1 million tourists annually, and contribute 22 billion Saudi riyals to the kingdom’s GDP.
