A memorandum of understanding to provide 6000 job opportunities and training

In a step that will develop the national manpower and create thousands of job opportunities for the people of NEOM and Tabuk, the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training and the company NEOM signed today, a memorandum of understanding for the NEOM project within the plans contributing to achieving the 2030 vision.

According to this partnership, about 6 thousand trainees from the Saudis, especially those from the region, will be trained and qualified to find suitable jobs within the many and many opportunities that the project will provide.

The NEOM project will require in the next five years thousands of professional opportunities in a number of sectors, and the partnership between the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training and the NEOM Company will provide the qualification, training and practical experience necessary to meet this need.

The training will focus on the necessary skills required by key sectors such as energy, construction, operation, maintenance, hospitality, transportation and logistics.

NEOM will ensure that graduates obtain employment opportunities with NEOM contractors and companies, and students will be trained by international and local training institutions that offer qualitative and high-level training, in strategic partnership with the institution to ensure the quality of the program outputs and the appropriateness of graduates to work on the project.

For his part, the Governor of the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid, affirmed that this agreement comes as a sense of the integrative role between the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training and NEOM Company to contribute to national development and investment in human cadres.

Al-Fuhaid added that the NEOM project is considered one of the most important pillars for achieving the 2030 vision. The training and qualification of national cadres are qualitatively capable of advancing the requirements of ambitious development plans, which is the main goal of the vision.

Al-Fuhaid said that this partnership with NEOM will provide the people of the region with an opportunity to be an effective part in achieving the ambitious vision, and we at the Foundation are happy that our outputs are part of the inputs to building the distinctive NEOM project.
