NEOM Company announced the launch of the “NEOM” Academy, in partnership with the University of Tabuk and the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, and aims to develop the national manpower and create thousands of job opportunities for the sons and daughters of the local community to be an effective part in achieving the ambitious vision and inputs to build the distinctive “NEOM” project.
This was done in the presence of The Governor of Tabuk region, Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the President of Tabuk University, Dr Abdullah bin Mufrah Al Thiabi, the Director of Fahd bin Sultan University, Dr Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Luhaidan, and the CEO of NEOM, Engineer Nazmi Al-Nasr.
During the ceremony, partnership agreements were signed between the “NEOM” company and the universities of Tabuk and Prince Fahd bin Sultan.
For his part, Prince Fahd stressed that these agreements are to invest in the men and women of this region to be able to build these projects, considering this occasion a historic occasion for the region of Tabuk, especially for the children of coastal areas, who will have priority in these programs.
The CEO of “NEOM” company also delivered a speech in which he confirmed that the people of Tabuk and the local community in NEOM are the first partners in the project and have preference in the job opportunities that will be provided to them, from NEOM’s belief in the importance of building a person before the place.
And he stated that during the few weeks, the academy will open its first year for a thousand students from the region to receive their training in it, in fields that support important sectors in NEOM, such as energy, tourism, transportation, etc.
In addition to attracting more male and female students to reach the target number of six thousand recipients of this training ending with employment program, pointing out that today’s announcement is only part of multiple social responsibility programs that aim to provide appropriate job opportunities in NEOM, worthy of status, ambition and dreams The people of the region and the local community.
At the end of his speech, he announced the provision of 500 new NEOM scholarships during the next five years, as part of the internal NEOM scholarship program through the new partnership with Prince Fahd bin Sultan University, to add more majors to all programs and cooperation in the field of research and development, with the University of Tabuk, so that Achieve what NEOM aspires to contribute to building a strong Saudi knowledge-based economy.
