Marriott International to Open Luxury Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Saudi Arabia’s Trojena

Marriott International, Inc. has announced a major agreement with NEOM to launch its second Ritz-Carlton Reserve property in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone in the country’s luxury tourism sector.

The new Ritz-Carlton Reserve will be located in Trojena, a year-round mountain destination in the northwest region of Saudi Arabia, offering a complete escape into a private world of luxury. The property will feature 60 expansive villas, a lavish spa, swimming pools, and multiple culinary venues, providing an idyllic escape with expansive views across the desert and mountain ranges.

This ultra-luxury resort is designed for the most discerning travelers seeking a bespoke experience, with highly personalized service centered around human connection and reflective of the destination’s vision, experiences, and natural environment.

“We are thrilled to partner with NEOM to bring this exclusive luxury experience to Trojena,” said Chadi Hauch, Regional Vice President, Lodging Development, Middle East, Marriott International. “This signing marks an important addition to our portfolio in Saudi Arabia, where we continue to see strong demand for our luxury brands.”

The Ritz-Carlton Reserve is part of a rare collection of only six properties worldwide, with destinations including Thailand, Indonesia, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. This new property will be the seventh collaboration between Marriott International and NEOM, with two more unique concepts expected to be unveiled later this year.

“Trojena is a rare destination, and we are delighted that Ritz-Carlton Reserve has hand-picked the mountains of NEOM for their next property,” said Philip Gullett, Executive Director, and Trojena Region Head. “Together, we will create an experience that can’t be recreated anywhere else, capturing the magic of Saudi Arabia in an unforgettable location.”

The Trojena development is being positioned as a year-round adventure sports destination, featuring activities such as skiing, water sports, hiking, and mountain biking. The area will also include apartments, chalets, retail, dining, entertainment, leisure, sports, recreational facilities, and other hospitality offerings, including a W Hotel and a JW Marriott Hotel.

This announcement marks a significant step forward in developing Saudi Arabia’s tourism industry, with Marriott International and NEOM poised to bring a new level of luxury to the region.
